Feed Manufacture

As well as preparing all diets for in-house trials, we also manufacture small commercial runs for independent customers. We specialise in producing bespoke mixes to client specification and our expert staff are on hand to give advice and consultancy if required. We:

• Formulate least-cost or ingredient-specific diets using sophisticated programmes.
• Prepare diets in quantities ranging from 20 to 1000 kg (or multiples thereof).
• Achieve complete traceability by the fully integrated computer control system.
• Manufacture mash, pellets or crumbs.
• Control completely the temperature and rate of passage through a barrel conditioner to the client's specification.
• Have access to feed at all stages of manufacture to allow detailed sampling.
• Apply fats, enzymes or other liquid supplements after pelleting in a Tatham-Forberg mixer.
• Are the first OF&G registered organic feedmill in Scotland.
