Feed Trial Facilities

Egg Production Studies

• 2 x 384 approved battery cages able to accommodate up to 1536 birds in groups of 4.

Meat Production Studies (broilers, turkeys, ducks & geese)

• The company has 2 sheds each containing 64 identical floor pens capable
  of housing 40 broilers or 12 ducks to 42 days of age.
• A further shed is available on a separate site which also contains 64
  identical pens and is used mainly for turkey trials to 20 weeks of age.

Digestibility Studies

• Two rooms each containing 48 small floor pens accommodating 5 birds per pen to 21 days of age.

Laboratory Analysis

• A chemical laboratory where quality-control analyses to support the feedmill and the metabolism/response trials carried out.
